Attention irrigation customers: Notice of meeting!

Meeting for all irrigation customers at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 24 at the Wayne City Auditorium, corner of 3rd and Pearl St. in Wayne. The purpose of the meeting is to review the success of last summer’s critical peak pricing and to review with irrigators the procedures for implementing the Time of Use Rate this coming summer.

The entire staff of NeNPPD want to thank the customers that were patient during the recent ice storm outage. While we worked hard to restore power, some customers had to be extra patient. We followed our established protocol of dispatching crews to places where the most people would get power in the shortest time. Eventually, we started the slow process of riding every line out starting at the Substation and fixing problems as we worked toward the end of the line. As one might suspect, someone has to be last and in a large outage those folks are always the ones at the end of the lines. We have received many expressions of gratitude from customers for our efforts and we too are appreciative of the fine manner in which our customers accepted the storms and were patient with our efforts to get the lights back on.
