Standby Service Rider

Availability

This rider can be applied to any existing rate schedule.   The purpose of this modification to existing rates is to permit a ‘non-permanent’ disconnection of service to accounts that are not seasonal in nature.   Examples of such voluntary disconnections of service would be winter vacations on a permanent residence or periods of vacancy on rental property.  This rider will only apply on accounts where the service is disconnected.   If the service remains active then the regular rate schedule is to be applied.

Type of Service

Applicable on all rate schedules and services.   If other rates require minimum payments which require a greater monthly charge then the higher of the amount specified by the rate or by this rider will apply.

Charges

Sixty percent (60%) of the Monthly Basic Facilities Charge/Customer Charge for the applicable rate.  This charge is required each month even though the service is not energized.    Trip charges for reconnection of service will be applied when customer request service to be re-activated.
